If you watch one thing this week, this should be it 👇

Ever feel like you’re working your ass off, but not making any real progress?

It happens to the best of us.

In the early years of running Classy, I used to feel this way all the time. Stuck in the weeds with no way out.

With so much coming at me, it was a struggle to decide what to focus on. Of all the things I could be doing, how do I know I’m working on the right stuff?

Then I read Andy Grove’s legendary book, High Output Management. Andy was the co-founder of Intel and its long-time CEO, and in the book he introduced me to the concept of managerial leverage

Having studied Industrial Engineering and Operations Research, I was familiar with the idea of mechanical advantage (or leverage). It’s like using a crowbar to open a window that you can’t open by hand. By using the tool, you decrease the human effort required, but amplify the output. In other words, you do more with the same effort (or even less effort).

But I had never considered the concept of leverage with day-to-day tasks. This was truly a breakthrough in how I saw my role as the CEO.

Now I define leverage as: The difference between what you put into a task, and what you get out. It’s doing things that give you the “biggest bang for your buck”.

But as valuable as Andy’s book was, he didn’t take the concept all the way.

What I wanted was a system I could follow that guaranteed I was spending my time on the highest leverage activities as a leader – every day, week, month, quarter, etc. And I wanted to make sure those activities set my company up for higher levels of revenue, valuation and impact.

So, I ended up creating the 5 step-system that I was looking at. And in the video above, I go through the system that will help you focus on the highest leverage activities, and scale your company to $100M and beyond.

Whether you’re just starting out, or you’re a seasoned CEO, this masterclass will give you the framework you need to break free from the operational grind and elevate yourself as a true leader.
