Something wasn’t right with the team. Things felt unsettled. Even a bit negative.

But the company was doing well, so what was the deal?

But the company was doing well, so what was the deal?

A couple weeks ago, I started seeing signs that something deeper was going on…

  • skepticism in meetings
  • disconnect across my 1x1s
  • a feeling of fatigue across the team

So I brought this to my head of people, and without blinking, she said something I’ll never forget:

We haven’t had an all hands in a while.

Wait – seriously? You think that’s what’s up?

Without a doubt. They’re that important.

I admit, I had been pushing off our all-hands meetings recently. They were starting to feel like too much extra work. And I rushed the content last time. All numbers and no mission.

I knew better. 🤦

From that day on, I never skimped again. I treated every all-hands meeting for what it is: a powerful opportunity to creative alignment and momentum in just 60-90 minutes.

But I’m not going to lie. It takes effort to crush your all-hands meeting every time. And it starts with building the agenda in the right way.

Luckily for you I put my all-hands agenda builder in the article this week! I’m positive it will save you hours of planning and frustration, as it did me…

Till next week,

Never say die 🏴‍☠️
